Cébaco Island is located in the Gulf of Montijo, in the buffer zone of the Isla Coiba National Park, some twenty minutes by lancha from the mainland. With its 8,000 hectares, it is the country's third largest island, after Coiba and Isla del Rey. Cébaco is populated by a few hundred inhabitants who live in small hamlets on the island's north coast, farming, raising livestock and fishing. Tourism is not yet developed, but the potential is enormous, with dozens of kilometers of wild, rocky and sandy beaches. Black in the north, grey and white in the south, they invite long, solitary strolls. There are also trails through the rainforest, authentic hamlets, fish-filled waters, sea turtles and humpback whales (in season), splendid seabeds in the south-west of the island, and above all the pleasant sensation of being at the end of the world!
