Cleebourg, the town (Bourg) of the clover (Klee), displays its coat of arms reflecting the meaning of its name. Its ideally exposed slopes have been covered with vines since the 8th century. The reputation of its fine wines has endured ever since. It's a land much appreciated by its various masters, like the princes of Sweden in the past. The village was completely destroyed in the 17th century during the Thirty Years' War, with the exception of the castle mill. The pretty residences visible today all date from this period. You'll love the many hiking trails on the surrounding hills, whose meandering terrain will appeal to even the most athletic hiker.
