20 km west of the coast, this small town of more than 11,100 inhabitants is well worth a visit, as this capital of the Baix Empordà is the Mecca of ceramics, a tradition it has maintained since the 13th century. You will recognize it by its predominant colors, navy blue, bottle green and straw yellow, as well as by the glazed finish of most of the pieces. A stopover dedicated to shopping, but also to discover its old center and the river Daró that crosses the city and its pastry specialty: El Bisbalenc, a kind of millefeuille filled with cabell d'àngel, angel hair, covered with pine nuts.
