The Acadian Peninsula ends in the east with Miscou Island, linked to Lamèque Island by Route 113. Both are home to dense vegetation of dwarf conifers and bogs, lighthouses and beautiful beaches. Miscou is a haven of peace, an ideal place to get away from it all, as evidenced by the many small vacation homes that dot the landscape. There are practically no attractions, and that's perfect. As an Acadian friend of mine said, "Miscou is where the birds turn. It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from there. Enjoy this beautiful picture and fill your lungs with salt air!
