Today, the remains of the medieval wall of Castelfollit are rare but some sections are observable
It is known that the entrance gates of the fortress were at the camí camí level, but today the remains of the medieval wall of Castelfollit are Rare. However, some sections are observable here and there: one can imagine a tower at the back of the house located at No. 1 of Carrer de la Font, as well as some angular stones of large dimensions at the level of the neighbouring house, No. 3. On the present Plaça del Meander was the castle, quoted in a document of 1193, now occupied by the So Castell house. It is assumed that most of the walls collapsed during the th century earthquake, as did the old church and many homes. In the th century, the central square of Castellfollit was again fortified, and would also be used during the war. These last works have gradually collapsed.
