The products served here come from the organic Maya Farm, and are therefore fresh and delicious. The dishes on offer, with a Mediterranean or Asian flavour, are original and healthy: soups, salads, revisited quesadillas, burgers, meat and fish... Guava Limb's chef also offers a cocktail menu featuring infused rum. The restaurant is housed in an adorable wooden house painted in pastel colors, with a terrace for outdoor dining.

Opened at the end of 2015, this is surely the city's most interesting culinary proposition. Chef Alejandro Mendez and his pastry chef wife Melissa welcome you to this small restaurant, in an air-conditioned dining room or on the terrace, to share good food in a very pleasant setting. Alejandro left to train in Guatemala City, before returning to open his own establishment in San Ignacio: a perfect blend of traditional Mayan and international cuisine. Don't forget to make a reservation, as the place is very popular.

This unassuming little wooden shack in the middle of Burns Avenue is THE must-visit restaurant in town. Every San Ignacio resident always recommends this little gem first, which serves dishes of rare freshness. The vegetables are tender and delicious, and used in tasty dishes. You'll soon want to make this Eden your canteen for the duration of your stay in the Cayo District, as the prices are also very affordable. The only drawback is that the restaurant fills up quickly, so be patient.

The place serves colorful local family cuisine, with a lip-smacking special of the day(cochinita pibil, stew, beef foot etc.) and a few options such as fajitas and burritos, as well as a choice of delicious grilled meats. The best place in San Ignacio to try the region's simple cuisine. Note the wide range of homemade smoothies, whose flavors owe nothing to chemistry!
