In the middle of the northern slope of the island of Elba, Enfola forms a small peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, like a tongue of land encircled by the sea. The tuna fishing activity ceased in 1958 and the place became a small white pebble beach, far from the classic tourist circuits, and popular with the locals. Near this beach, in front of the parking lot (free), you will find the headquarters of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago (islepark.it), open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm, where you can get information about the park, the trails and the tours. It occupies the old tonnara of Enfola, once a tuna processing plant.
