Registered since 1761, Brandon now has less than 4,000 souls. This beautiful city has retained its historic charm with its mostly 19th century administrative buildings and a large number of churches. It seems that no religious congregation has been forgotten. The extent of its historic centre bears witness to an important past activity essentially centred around iron and water mills allowing the production of flour and wood (sawmills). This town located on Route 7 is definitely worth a visit. Outdoor enthusiasts will also be able to take advantage of the many hiking trails in the nearby Green Mountains Park.
