On the way between Chiclayo and the Bosque de Pomac, we find the small village of Ferreñafe. Originally named Santa Lucía de Ferreñafe, the town was founded on December 13, 1550 by Captain Alonso de Osorio. It is known as : Land of the Double Faith, because according to legend its inhabitants believed faithfully in the law of the spirits. The main economic activity is agriculture. It is here that the famous Sican museum is installed, which shows a culture previous to the one of the moches and all the pieces of goldsmithery found in the Huaca del Oro in Pomac. More classical museography, but interesting pieces.
