This reserve is really out of the ordinary. It is the result of the determination of Heinz Plenge, who went from being a hunting photographer to a naturalist photographer and now works for National Geographic. He built a unique lodge and an educational trail in the heart of the 36,000 hectares that benefits the community through the cost of admission and the service of guides. Small foxes, wild boars, real condor frolic in this dry forest. And above all, el oso de anteojo, the spectacled bear, is the object of a reintroduction program. It is possible to approach it on the site or to see it in the distance on the surrounding hills.
