Travel Guide Reserva Natural Mururito

This natural reserve of 2,000 ha is located 3 hours from Villavicencio and 1 hour 30 from Puerto Gaitán. It is a true refuge of wild life in the heart of the Llanos. Rare species live there, such as the giant armadillo, the giant otter, the ocelot, the puma, the tapir or the anteater. The finca Mururito, located on the banks of the Manacacías River, has been converted into a hotel to accommodate visitors in search of wilderness. It has 6 simple rooms with private bathrooms, for a maximum capacity of 16 people. The activities are numerous as soon as you get out of the hammock: walking, biking, horseback riding or 4x4, swimming in crystal clear waters, fishing for piranhas in the Caiman lagoon, participating in the activities of the farm (beehives, milking the cows, harvesting in the vegetable garden...).
