Located 70 km north of Yazd, this farm centre in the heart of the desert is a pleasant stopover. The city is covered with qanats, traditional irrigation channels. Water is extracted from a well and flows into slightly sloping canals. The site is famous for being the birthplace of the former President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Khatami. It is possible to visit his home house built after the yazdi art around an inner courtyard, with water basins and grenadiers.
