Valle de Cabuérniga is a village of 150 inhabitants, the town of Cabuérniga, in the heart of the Saja valley. The town consists of several small hamlets glued to each other, including Carmona, which seems to be frozen in time with its stone houses with flowery balconies. All Carmona is classified as a historic artistic monument. A Roman carriageway went there, which was still taken by Charles Quint when he arrived in Spain to claim the crown. In Renedo, you will see coats houses, especially in the corner of the church, and wooden balconies covered with linen and geraniums. Two kilometres later, in Terán, there is a medieval necropolis under the chestnut trees. The site would be the origin of the populations of the Cabuérniga Valley.
