Populated by 800 inhabitants, this village is the first to be found in the Merindades region, the cradle of Castile to medium mountain landscapes. The village is in fact made up of several small hamlets scattered here and there, which is part of Agüera, where Charles Quint passed on the night of October 8, 1556.
