The Parque Nacional Manu has had its area of intervention extended. So we have a virgin area that is accessible from Boca Manu and a much larger area that has been converted into a natural and cultural area in recovery. It is here, along the Kosñipata valley and then along the Río Alto Madre de Dios, between Picolpata and Boca Manu, that we find several biological stations, lodges and communities. The panorama is incredible, the landscapes breathtaking and above all the biodiversity is there (many species of birds, monkeys and abundant flora), but unfortunately it is an area where man has intervened...
