Less known and wilder, this waterfall is 30 minutes from Tarapoto to San Antonio de Cumbaza and from there, 1h30 walk in the jungle crossing the streams. The path is flat and you are alone in the world. The waterfall is small, but the natural pool is large. Take some food if you want to stay there, there are very few grocery stores in the village. Be careful, this trek is not recommended in the rainy season: the torrent floods quickly.
