Châtenois unfolds in a setting of vineyards set by the woods of the Hahnenberg. You can take a walk on the ramparts where an important restoration work has been undertaken for several years. The double enclosure once surrounded a fortified cemetery. This walk allows you to admire the Romanesque bell tower of the church of Saint-Georges which houses 16th century carved wooden reliefs and a beautiful Silbermann organ. An authentic icon of traditional Alsatian illustration, the witches' tower is topped by a stork's nest. The medieval garden dedicated to dye plants reminds us of the importance of the textile industry in the region.
