One and a half hours by road from Iquitos, this small town is the gateway to the Pacaya Samiria. Usually boats leave from here to go up the Amazon and enter the black waters that flow into different ríos through these 2 million hectares. It is also here that you can embark or disembark on a crossing to/from Yurimaguas or Lagunas. This shortens the trip by lancha by almost 12 hours! At 30 minutes by deslizador, the visit to the mirador built in the community of Miguel Grau can be worthwhile to have a point of view in height (33 meters) on the immense Amazon and the reserve of Pacaya Samiria close
