If Ramales from Victoria does not shine through the beauty of its downtown, it is evidence that its immediate surroundings are the place of very ancient stands. Controlling access between the mountains and the sea, it has served as a migration route from antiquity and is one of the last steps of the Charles Quint road. Although the city itself has relatively few vestiges of its past, it has nevertheless preserved two splendid caves, one of which is undoubtedly the most moving of all Spanish caves by the quality of its paintings.
