This small village of 250 inhabitants has preserved its medieval charm with its stone streets, palaces dating from the 17th and 18th centuries and houses with carved wooden cornices. More specifically, in the old part of the town we find the church of San Pedro, a beautiful Renaissance building from the 16th century, and the striking baroque palace called Colina de Lanestosa. Another remarkable site in the village is the calero, an ancient kiln once used to produce lime from limestone, as well as the Old Bridge, which formerly connected Laredo to Burgos.
