Located 6 kilometers south of Hatton and 26 kilometers northeast of Adam's Peak, Dick Oya is worth a visit for its beautiful water feature, Castlereigh Reservoir, and the beautiful surrounding landscape of endless tea plantations. The small town is also home to Christ Church Warleigh, the oldest Anglican church on the island. Built by the British in 1878, it is located on the edge of tea plantations and Castlereigh Reservoir. Built entirely of granite, its architecture is typical of English churches. Next to it is a small cemetery containing the graves of British tea planters from the colonial era.
