The small village of Elkaduwa is located 20 kilometers southeast of Matale and 26 northeast of Kandy. It is worthwhile for its proximity to Hunas Falls, a beautiful 48 meter high waterfall located on the western side of Campbell's Lane Forest Reserve. It is a man-made waterfall located in the garden of the Hunas Falls Hotel, with a tiny cement pool, but watch out for leeches! It is fed by a stream coming from the top of the Hunnasgiriya mountain. The entrance to the site is not free (100 Rs). Several other smaller waterfalls can be seen in the area during the rainy seasons.
