Little Inagua, located 8 km north of Great Inagua, its big sister, is surrounded by a reef that protects it from untimely landings. The island is little visited and does not offer any facilities. It is classified within the Little Inagua National Park since 2002. Its only inhabitants are birds, wild donkeys, and goats whose ancestors were introduced by the French. Many species of birds live there, among them a rare species of heron. In this wild and desolate land, the climate is semi-desert. It is the largest uninhabited island in the Caribbean.
