Travel Guide Misali Island

Thanks to the Pemba Channel Conservation Association (Pecca), this reef became a protected conservation area in 1998. It is therefore possible to swim here, but not to fish. This coral reef is considered one of the most beautiful on the planet (especially on the west side of the island) for divers, and boasts a number of records (40 different coral species, over 350 species of fish). The square kilometer of emerged land is home to sea turtles, monkeys and many birds. A beach to the northeast, covered in white sand and bathed in crystal-clear turquoise water, is the perfect spot for a picnic after a snorkeling trip.
