South of Bastimentos, not far from Cayos Zapatillas, Isla Popa is an important island of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, the second in size after Isla Colón. It is mainly inhabited by Ngäbe families and tourism is not yet very developed. There is an exclusive all-inclusive resort, Popa paradise beach resort, but it is mainly for an ecolodge that we recommend Popa, or rather a very small private island called Urracá. You can get there in half an hour by lancha from Bocas. Francine, the Quebec owner, will put you in contact with a trustworthy lanchero to take you there. It costs around 80 US$ one way by boat.
