This national park runs along the coast for over 100 km between Goolwa and Kingston, in a strip of land between the ocean and the Princess Highway. It stretches between Riverland and the Limestone Coast and includes the Coorong peninsula. It is a paradise for thousands of birds, which find refuge and food in the lagoons. Numerous camping sites are scattered along the highway. Despite their proximity to the road, their accessibility, like that of the shores, is sometimes difficult for conventional vehicles.
