This small town in the province of Verona, with a population of around 20,000, is home to the largest zoological park on the peninsula, so it's well worth a visit! You can also enjoy the magnificent panorama of the lake. Near Piazzale Vittorio Veneto, you'll find the 14th-century Chiesa di San Valentino, with frescoes by anonymous local painters depicting the life of Saint Valentine. The church's south portico is also decorated with a 14th-century fresco. Another church worth visiting is the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore, whose construction date is unknown, but which is thought to date from before the 12th century.
