After the superb view of Bald Hill, at the exit of the Royal National Park and at the level of Otford, Coalcliff will allow you to apprehend the ocean on the Grand Pacific Drive. It is here that the Sea Cliff Bridge is located, offering a spectacular view along the escarpment. Coalcliff owes its name to the coal industry. At the back of the town, relatively well hidden by the vegetation and the rugged terrain, a huge open pit mine was exploited here for nearly 100 years, from 1878 to 1992. Coalcliff's popular beach offers excellent surfing conditions.
