It's not an island despite its name! Located on the Ruta 1 that leads to Punta Tumbo, here is a beautiful example of a beach where elephant seals are basking. Escaping from the cold waters of Antarctica, they come here to mate and raise their young. Here, too, you can get very close, even if you have to keep a certain distance. This beach is rarely visited by tourists and is often deserted: its incredible marine mammals, at ease in front of the camera, can easily be photographed. To date, the beach does not benefit from a conservation program for elephant seals: please be respectful!
