Travel Guide Brenzone

Brenzone is a pearl built on the véronèse shore of Lake Garda. Located 46 km from Verona, in the centre of the lake, it is historically a tourist and transit area for trade between the "Padana" and the Alps. It was born of a triple culture: Véronèse, Bresciana and Trentina. The municipality (2 535 inhabitants), one of the largest in the véronèse province, is 69 m above sea level, but its territory rises to the peak of Mount Baldo (2 218 m). It has many churches and 16 small towns to visit as: Borgo di Borago, Borgo di Castello, Centro di Venzo and Campo now uninhabited but full of magic and charm. Various routes go through the slopes of the mount to reach its peak, which is also reachable by the Prada-Costabella cable car. During the excursion, two shelters allow for a stop: Chierego and Télégrafo «Gaetano Barana». The territory offers many other sports activities such as cycling, wakeboard, water skiing, mountaineering, hang-gliding… not forgetting other pleasures, bathing in crystalline waters and visiting the many small towns, old churches and old olive trees: the country of the thousand colours. Today, Brenzone is the organizer of many cultural events during the summer: concerts, outdoor theatre, local holidays such as the magic nights from August 9 th to 11 th. The 25 communes joined on 13 August to illuminate the sky of the lake of their fireworks: This is the big night of the stars!
