The mythical site of Rio Bec, near the community 20 de Noviembre, is not an official archaeological zone since it is not managed by the National Institute of Anthropology and History, but by the inhabitants of the village. To date, no less than 80 structures have been identified, but only two groups have been excavated from the bowels of the jungle, and restored by the team of French archaeologist Dominique Michelet (groups A and B, the most easily accessible). The visit is therefore in charge of the charming Mayan rural community from the Camino Real that connects Campeche to Merida; the village is also famous for its textile production, which is exhibited in the workshops of the craftsmen.
