Copahue (2,963 m) is a volcano located on the border between Argentina and Chile. Active, it often comes up in the conversations of the locals: its last awakening was in May 2013 and it does not seem to have fallen back asleep since then. In 2019 and 2020, the alerts followed one another and the tremors of this giant didn't seem to want to calm down! Highly guarded, the volcano nevertheless reserves its share of activities: thermal complex, top-of-the-range hotels, hot springs... Daily expeditions to reach its crater are also accessible to the whole family. Agencies take you in 4x4 vehicles up to 2,250 m before starting a 3-hour hike.
