Morton National Park was established in 1938. It is named after Mark Morton, who was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. Located in the Southern Highlands, it covers an area of 199,745 hectares. Two sites with magnificent waterfalls can be visited. These sites are separated from each other by about fifteen kilometers, at the northeastern tip of Morton National Park. The Fitzroy Falls site has a visitor center. The center offers information on local Aboriginal culture and wildlife, as well as walking tips and information.
