This island was one of the first island hotels before returning to local habitation in 1990. It is home to 8,000 inhabitants and has a peaceful atmosphere typical of the local islands. The inhabitants of Malé regularly come here for the weekend to enjoy its pristine lagoon and its beach, the best in Malé and the surrounding area. To get there, you have to take a dhoni from the harbour located south-west of Malé. The crossing takes 5 minutes. Since the island is frequented by locals, women are not allowed to swim in bathing suits. They must wear a T-shirt and Bermuda shorts. As for men, shorts are sufficient.
