Kembs, formerly known as Cambete, developed on the axis of a Roman road that linked Strasbourg to Augst in Switzerland. It was in this town that the first of the 10 hydroelectric power stations built on the Rhine in France was built. It was destroyed during the Second World War and then restarted in 1945. The small marina of Kembs, located on the Huningue canal, is also very attractive. A special feature: an unusual route has been designed along the Huningue canal on the theme of "The Path of the Planets". The distances between the stars are proportionally represented on the scale of "billionism".
