One of Belgium's biggest bookshops is here in Tournai, run by enthusiastic Laurent Lemaire. It boasts over 50,000 different books spread over a total surface area of 300 m². Hours of browsing among rare editions. Magazines, novels, comics, guidebooks, coffee-table books... new or second-hand, not to mention the children's section with over 10,000 mangas. What's more, the bookshop follows the seasons carefully: you'll find books requested by French teachers at the start of the school year, boxed sets for Christmas..

Just a stone's throw from the city center, Les Bastions brings together 100 retailers, including restaurants, bars, clothing, electrical goods and food stores, a mix of major brands and more local names. Since April 2018, the shopping center has undergone a complete makeover and now focuses on a friendly, human experience. Many local brands have found their place here.
