Belœil, a French-speaking commune in Belgium, is particularly well known for its castle, which belongs to the House of Ligne. It is still owned by the 14th Prince of Ligne. The castle and its remarkable park are open to the public. The place is so impressive that it has been nicknamed the little Belgian Versailles. The town is also home to the Aubechies archaeological site, which presents reconstructions of prehistoric dwellings. Finally, for nature lovers, go for a walk in the Stambruges forest and the site of the Mer de Sable, classified as a nature reserve. The place is ideal for breathing!
