A jewel of metal and glass filled with countless plants and flowers, planted with species that are rare in Brussels
The Royal Greenhouses in Laeken were built next to the palace by Alphonse Balat, master of Victor Horta. This jewel of metal and glass is filled with countless plants and flowers (including an impressive number of fuchsias) and planted with rare, sometimes unique, species brought from all over the world. It is a real treat for the eyes. Only open for 3 weeks in April or May, so keep an eye on the Visit Brussels website for dates and times. The barbecue with the king and queen is not included in the ticket.
