For over 200 years, Wesserling has been the flagship of the textile industry! In 1762, the Château de Wesserling began producing the first Indian and printed fabrics. At the beginning of the 19th century, Alsace's first textile company was located here! Activities included spinning, weaving and printing. Fabrics were distributed under the brand name "Gros-Roman et Cie". Between the wars, the area was bought by Marcel Boussac. Transformed into a park, the former industries are now home to a textile museum retracing industrial history, remarkable gardens and the large boiler house.
