San Pedro is the university district on the outskirts of San José. The faculty gardens are open to all and recommended. It is huge: students have their own TV, radio, insect museum and more than 220 different courses. San Pedro is a popular area for young people to have a drink. No reason to stay there, but you can spend the evening there. Be careful on your way back, as everywhere else in San José. To go from San José to San Pedro, you will pass by bus or car a wide avenue lined with bars and restaurants of dubious taste, before arriving at a cosmic fountain and, on your left, at the commercial center.
