Located 10 km off the coast and 45 km south of Cairns, Frankland Islands is made up of 5 beautiful wild and uninhabited islands: Normanby, High, Russell, Round and Mabel. Surrounded by white sand or rough rocks, they are part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Located on the other side of the Cairns Reef, they are surrounded by reefs teeming with all kinds of corals, manta rays, turtles, fish and giant clams. The conditions for snorkeling and diving are exceptional. The islands are also an important nesting site for the little tern, the imperial pigeon and the crested tern.
