Koremi is perched on a cliff 19 km from Harar, on the road to Babillé. It is one of the oldest villages in Ethiopia, inhabited since the 12th century by the Argoba people. Its stone houses are hundreds of years old and still look exactly the same. An extremely interesting site for anyone interested in Ethiopian culture and people. What's more, the views from the village are superb. There is no public transport to Koremi, but it is possible to negotiate a cab to get there. Charge 200 birr for the local guide, who speaks only Amharic, but if you have a driver who can translate for you, that's enough.
