Seaside is a popular seaside resort, popular for families and teenagers. It developed from 1873 thanks to the opening of the Portland-San Francisco railway line by the coast. A Miss Oregon competition is held every year. The main street is modestly called Broadway, where fast-food, shops and play rooms are listed. It ends on the sea at the roundabout Lewis & Clark.
