PRAIA DAS GATAS

Another heavenly beach in Boa Vista, the charming Praia das Gatas, overlooking the small islet Ilheu dos Aves which is part of the Natural Park. It is located to the north of Fundo das Figueiras and you can sometimes see dolphins or nurse sharks. The ideal place to relax, but also a very popular spot for snorkeling among the turtles. However, beware of the current and the shallow coral. Further south is Ervatão and its beach, which can be reached by tracks through the dunes.
