Travel Guide Saint-Étienne-Des-Grès

Located 25 km northwest of Trois-Rivières and 18 km southwest of Shawinigan, on the banks of the Saint-Maurice River, Saint-Étienne-des-Grès is a municipality in the county of Maskinongé with a population of approximately 4,600. The name "des Grès" comes from the rocks that make up the soil of the area. It is not a tourist destination per se, although it does have a campground, a B&B, farms and a small, friendly café just a few steps from the church. The main reason for coming here is the hydrobase from which amphibious seaplanes fly to the most beautiful natural landscapes in the region. An experience to live, especially during the colorful season.
