Olot's Main Theatre offers a programme that runs from September to June, with theatre, dance, music and circus on the programme. Cultural festivals are also organised, from time to time, on the occasion of special cycles. The superb building that can be seen today dates from 1887 and was rebuilt on a 1842 structure that was destroyed in a fire. A theatre already existed on this site in 1769. The Sala El Torín is a multi-purpose cultural space that covers approximately 1,000 square metres and is located on the hill of Roser. Its aim is to develop a transversal cultural programme that brings together all the cultural actors working in Olot. To this end, it offers a plethora of concerts, plays and musicals.
