Zelená Hora - or Green Mountain - is part of the municipality of Žďár nad Sázavou. This site was chosen for the construction of the church of St. John Nepomuk, as he was educated here. Built in 1719, the church Žd'ar nad Sázavou dominates the town due to its location on a small hill. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994 and is now an important place of pilgrimage. You can easily reach it by bus from the surrounding towns and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the place: the church is situated on a beautiful grassy area overlooking the river and surrounded by woods, inviting you to take a walk and stroll.
