A little less than ten kilometres south of Aboisso is the royal village of Krinjabo, named after the Krinja, a large, centuries-old sacred tree that spreads its imposing branches in the centre of the small town. It is in this village that King Sanwi (now Nanan Amon N'Douffou V) has his royal court and throne. The royal court of Krinjabo is a place of gathering, celebration, but also for settling disputes and other contentious matters between all the sons and daughters of the area. It is also the scene of the Yam Festival and the Generations Festival, which brings together every year all members of the Agni-Sanwi community.
