Antrim is a town in the county of the same name, has a population of 23,000 and is located near the banks of the Lough Neagh. It is not of great tourist interest, and is certainly not an essential stop on a tour of Northern Ireland. However, it has the advantage of being located very close to Belfast airport and only 35 km from the capital of the region. It may therefore be practical to stay there for one night on arrival or departure. If you pass through, you can take a look at its gardens, the Antrim Castle Gardens.
