A small, rocky port and the ideal starting point for a long walk along the cliffs to one of Britain's prettiest beaches, Barafundle Beach. Although extremely popular, it's not overly crowded, taking a good 20 minutes to reach. White sand, turquoise waves... When the sun's out, it's paradise. Continuing along the path, you pass over numerous caves where guillemots, puffins and all sorts of other birds nest. You then come to the outskirts of the village of Bosherston, where you'll find St. Govan's Chapel. Nestled between two cliffs, battered by the waves, you descend the stone steps to discover this strange chapel, at least 800 years old. This magical place is steeped in legend: some say that beneath the rocks surrounding the chapel lies the treasure of the Knights of the Round Table. We also pass Bosherston Pools, artificial marshes under the woods, covered with water lilies. Not to be missed in June, when they are covered in white flowers! Accessible on foot, you can park in the parking lot a little further up (about 5 minutes' walk), or, if you have time, you can walk to the Stack Rocks along the coast to the west. This is an eroded limestone rock that has taken on the aesthetic shape of an arch.
